Upon arrival, you check into your hotel and prepare for the evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, where the sight of glowing lamps, chanting priests, and flowing Ganga creates a deeply powerful and emotional start to your pilgrimage.

Day 2 : Haridwar → Barkot (180 km / 7–8 hrs)
+After breakfast, you begin your journey towards Barkot, which serves as the base for Yamunotri. The drive introduces you to the Himalayan terrain with winding roads, forested stretches, and flowing rivers accompanying you along the way. As you ascend, the air becomes cooler and the surroundings quieter, creating a noticeable shift from the plains. By evening, you reach Barkot, check into your hotel, and rest in preparation for the upcoming trek.

Day 3 : Barkot → Yamunotri → Barkot (Trek Day)
+This is the first major pilgrimage day, where you travel to Janki Chatti and begin the trek to Yamunotri. The 6 km route takes you through mountain paths, waterfalls, and scenic surroundings, offering both challenge and beauty. You can choose to walk or opt for pony or palki services. Upon reaching the temple, you offer prayers to Goddess Yamuna and visit Surya Kund, known for its hot water springs. After darshan, you return along the same route to Barkot.
