After breakfast, you begin your journey towards Guptkashi, which serves as the base for Kedarnath. This is one of the longest and most visually engaging drives of the yatra, as you pass through winding mountain roads, deep valleys, and multiple sacred river confluences known as Prayags. As the altitude gradually increases, the terrain becomes more rugged and the environment more serene, offering a true Himalayan experience. By evening, you reach Guptkashi, check into your hotel, and rest in preparation for the trek ahead.

This is the most crucial and physically demanding day of the yatra. Early in the morning, you travel to Sonprayag and then to Gaurikund, which is the starting point of the Kedarnath trek. From here, a 16–18 km one-way trek takes you through steep climbs, narrow trails, and high-altitude terrain, making it both challenging and rewarding.

Pilgrims who prefer a less physically demanding option can choose pony, palki, or helicopter services. Upon reaching Kedarnath, you visit the sacred temple, located amidst towering snow-clad peaks, where the atmosphere feels deeply spiritual and serene.
